WIP Wednesday - 11/2/2011

Last weekend, I went to a 4 day quilt retreat.  It was awesome (Thanks Kyle, Jan, Karen, Kris and Nancy)!  These wonderful ladies were my table mates.  So much fun!

At the retreat, we played games and ate snacks and had a grand time.  Oh yeah...we sewed some stuff too!

I managed to finish my bee blocks for both bees.  YAY!  I only have pictures of one set, though.  the other bee block was supposed to be a swoon block, but I didn't get enough fabric to complete it.  :(

I also finished this amazing jelly roll quilt:

I first saw a picture of this pattern at Hideaway Girl.  I didn't have a pattern and learned quite a bit while making this quilt.  Thank you so much for the idea, Hideaway Girl!

I also got some quilting done on my Supernova Quilt.  I hope to get this completed relatively soon.

I also got enough charm squares cut to make a plus quilt, but no pictures of that...

Make sure you stop by Freshly Pieced to see all the linked WIP posts for inspiration!

  1. That jelly roll quilt is beautiful! Nice work!

  2. Oh wow, I love your scrappy jelly roll quilt. I hope you don't mind but I pinned it in Pinterest. :)

  3. Nice jelly roll quilt, quite different from the usual strip ones I've seen.

  4. oh you got alot done - lovely! And I confess, everytime I still see the word "Supernova" I get excited - can't wait to see yours!

  5. Hey there! I think it looks fabulous!!! It looks pretty big - must have been a bigger jelly roll. My instructions were pathetic - sorry about that. I am a pretty casual quilter - I go a little nuts when I have to follow directions. :) I made another quilt using the same concept with smaller squares, and more of them (the soul blossoms quilt on my quilt tab). So much fun to see yours - thanks for the heads up!

  6. The Terrain quilt is amazing! I love it!

  7. gorgeous quilt very colorful and bright, way to go!

  8. i like your jelly quilt!
